Winter Hours

After 9 years in Marble Falls, including over 2 years at our present location on the lake, Jane and I have decided to close 2 days a week for the winter.

Beginning the week after Labor Day, we will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday of each week until New Years Eve. On these two days the restaurant will be available for private parties only.

During these “off” days we hope to accomplish the following:

1.       An extensive “Winter Cleaning” of the building and equipment

2.       Repair and maintenance of the building, furniture and equipment

3.       Create a test kitchen where we have the time and space to develop new menu items in our Caribbean tradition.

4.       An environment, much as we had with the smaller location, where Jane and I will be at the restaurant during operations to ensure quality of our service, consistency in our food preparation and to improve our staff training.

5.       Time and space to develop our “Food and Wine Society” program in which we can serve a multi course meal with appropriate wines along with visiting vintners and/or  chefs to educate the diners. We also plan to provide appropriate entertainment.

6.       Provide a place where large groups can dine on the lake in private

We are grateful for your patronage of our restaurant over the years especially for those who have taken the time to fill out the card to become a member of the Jamin House Club. We have over 3,000 members on our mailing list and will be restarting our program for new members. We will also be providing an opportunity for you to supply your e-mail address whether in the restaurant or via our website www.jaminhouse.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience that may arise by our being closed for two days but hope you will understand.

Hobson Smith

For the past three months, Hobson has been commuting from Houston to play at Jamin House Café on Friday and Saturday nights. After some experimentation  he moved his act into the main dining room to allow for more family oriented entertainment. Bring the kids, enjoy the music with your meal and maybe even dance a little.

If you want more peaceful dining with a view of the lake, Jamin Too! Will be available. You can still listen to Hobson but at a softer volume.

Sunday Brunch Buffet

Our best kept secret from 10:30 to 1:30 every Sunday featuring the Omelet  shack, where eggs are made to order, waffles, pancakes , fresh fruit and juices, Eggs Benedict, biscuits & gravy, ham, jerk sausage, bacon and hash browns.

Prime Rib

We will be serving Prime Rib every Friday and Saturday night until we run out. You can reserve a cut with your reservation.
