Okay, you won't find the catfish on many dinner tables in the Caribbean, but we cook it with the same care and flavors we give to our other seafood.

Grilled, with lime butter and served with Jerk Mayo  $11

Cajun, hand dipped in our corn-meal based seasoned batter and topped with our Cajun sauce ** $12
Pecan, Pan fried and topped with Pecan butter sauce $12
Drunken, Deep fried and topped with green onions and a Soya and white wine sauce $12
Blackened, Pan fried with our own blackening seasonings ** $12


We've tried fresh Gulf shrimp from time to time but have found that shrimp fresh-frozen on the boat is the best. In the Cayman Islands, fresh shrimp is hard to come by but in Jamaica, where the sea life has been mostly fished out, the shrimp abound.

Crispy Red Stripe Shrimp, a dozen medium shrimp hand dipped in our Red Stripe beer batter, deep fried and served with our Jamin cocktail sauce $15

All lightly seasoned, grilled and served with Jerk Mayo. The most popular fish in the Caribbean are snapper, grouper, Wahoo and dolphin (mahi mahi, not Flipper). . We purchase our fresh seafood from mongers in San Antonio and the Gulf area. and prefer to grill our fish with the skin on, as this method retains the flavor and moisture of the fresh fish. Grilled fish are lightly seasoned and basted with clarified butter.

Mahi Mahi El Dorado,  grilled with lime butter $16
Garlic & Rum Scallops, Jumbo scallops sautéed in lime butter wine reduction and served with onions, bell peppers and Hollandaise sauce $ 20

Lobster! Tell us a day ahead and your Lobster tail will be ready.

Like it Spicy?
Most of our dishes, including all of our grilled seafood and steaks, are not spicy. If you like it hot, try our Curry Chicken, Cajun Linguine or Fiery Shrimp or just tell us and we will add the heat.

Low Fat?
Suggest any of our grilled ocean fish entrees with rice and beans and veggies or try a skinless, boneless Jerk chicken breast, grilled and served with rice and beans and veggies.

Try our Veggie Pasta, Greek Salad, Greek Pizza, Cheese Pizza, Hurricane or Caesar Salad or ask for our Jamin Veggie Plate.


Jamin House Cafe does not share in the gratuities offered by our customers to our wait staff. For your convenience, 15% gratuity will be added to all checks for parties of 8 or more.
